Yes defintely. Botox has been FDA approved since 2002 for treating agening lines effectively. Like most cosmetic treatments, side effects can occur, some clients report mild bruising whilst very occasionally- approximately 1-3% – experience a ‘droopy eyelid’ both however can be corrected or will fade in time. To reduce the risk of complications it is important that anti-wrinkle injectables are administered by highly qualified practitioners in a safe and medical environment.
BOTOX® injectables are mainly used for the face. Forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet lines around the eyes, and the “11 lines” between the eyebrows are the most popular areas. However, other uses include preventing excess sweating.
Your consultation for BOTOX® treatment will be with a highly trained medical professional who is experienced in administering injectables. In order to ensure we achieve the results you want, we will discuss with you your skin concerns, timings and finances. Our consultations are no obligation and we aim to help you understand the treatment, its effects and how it works to prevent and/or improve your fine lines.
Yes and yes! You and the doctor can discuss the amount of units you need to use to correct your areas of concerns. Keep in mind that all botox vials are SINGLE PATIENT USE vials. Vials come in various unit sizes between 50-300 units. FDA has approved 20 units for the frown lines, 20 units for the forehead lines and 12.5 units for each crows feet area; that totals 65 units. So you will need to purchase a 100 unit vial to achieve full correction. If you only purchase the 50 unit vial you may not achieve full correction. Any used botox is discarded unless you and the doctor discuss another possible area to use the remaining units of botox.
Most clients can return back to their regular routines immediately. We provide all clients with Arnica and an ice pack to take home to help prevent any possible bruising.
