Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines — most notably the vertical frown lines between the brows. Overview
What is Dysport®?
Every time you frown, squint or raise your brows, small muscles fold the skin above them. Over years — and plenty of Las Vegas sunshine — those folds become lines that stay even when your face is at rest. Dysport® relaxes those specific muscles so the skin above them can smooth out.
Dysport is made by Galderma and contains a botulinum toxin type A with a formulation that tends to spread across a slightly broader area. That can make it a good fit for larger zones like the forehead and frown area, and many clients notice it starting to work quickly. Dysport units are dosed differently from other neuromodulators, so unit counts aren’t directly comparable between brands.

Many people begin to see results within 2–3 days, which is often quicker than they expect. The full effect is usually visible by about two weeks.
How long does Dysport last?
Results commonly last about 3 to 4 months, and up to 5 months for some people. Regular treatments can help train the muscles, so some clients find they need treatment less often over time.
How is Dysport different from Botox?
Both are botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators that relax expression muscles. Dysport® has a different formulation that tends to spread a little more, which can suit broader areas, and many people notice it working quickly. Units are not interchangeable between the two, so dosing is different.
Does Dysport hurt?
Most clients describe a few quick pinches. The needle is very fine and the appointment is short. Ice can be used for extra comfort.
Will I look frozen?
Not with careful dosing. Our goal is softened lines with natural expression. Reva plans dosing around how your face moves, and we can refine at your two-week check-in.
