The short answer
MINT™ (Minimally Invasive Nonsurgical Thread) is a PDO thread lift made by HansBiomed. Fine threads of polydioxanone (PDO), a dissolvable material, are placed under the skin with a thin cannula to lift and support sagging tissue; as they gradually dissolve, they stimulate new collagen. Overview
What is MINT™ PDO Threads?
As we age, the tissue of the midface, jowls and jawline slowly descends and the skin loses some of its firmness. Fillers can replace lost volume, but when the main concern is laxity, a lift is often what makes the difference. MINT™ PDO threads offer that lift without surgery, incisions or general anesthesia.
MINT™ threads have small barbs molded in a 360° helical pattern that hold the tissue once the thread is placed. The threads are made of PDO, the same dissolvable material long used in surgical sutures. Over the following months they are absorbed by the body, and as they dissolve they stimulate collagen — so skin can look firmer and smoother even after the threads are gone.

Consultation & mapping
Reva assesses skin quality and how much laxity you have, then maps the direction of lift and where each thread will sit.
Numbing
The entry points and thread paths are numbed with local anesthetic so treatment stays comfortable.
Thread placement
Each MINT™ thread is placed under the skin through a fine cannula, then the tissue is gently lifted into position.
Shaping & check
Reva checks symmetry and contour before finishing. Most appointments take about an hour.
Follow-up
A check-in after a couple of weeks, once swelling has settled, to review your result.

MINT Threads aftercare
- Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for the first few nights
- Avoid wide mouth opening, exaggerated expressions and chewing gum for about 1–2 weeks
- Don’t rub or massage your face, and skip facials for about 2 weeks
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and hot yoga for several days
- Use a cool compress for swelling and call us with any concerns

Does a thread lift hurt?
The treatment areas are numbed with local anesthetic first. Most clients describe pressure and a pulling sensation rather than pain, and some tenderness for a few days afterward.
What is the downtime after a thread lift?
Most people return to normal activities within a day or two. Expect some swelling, bruising or tightness for several days, and avoid wide mouth opening and strenuous exercise for a short time.
Can I combine MINT threads with fillers or Sculptra?
